This position is responsible for preparing complex RFQ’s and purchase orders for custom parts, assemblies, and full mockups. The Senior Procurement Agent finds the right suppliers, assesses their capabilities, and maintains a mutually valuable relationship. In addition to purchasing, this role includes estimating and long-term planning, recommending policy and process changes, and mentoring lower-level purchasing staff. This role demands independent problem solving and a continuous improvement mindset.

Who We’re Looking For 

An independent-minded problem-solver who can source and procure custom parts, assemblies, or entire mockups based on the needs of TEAGUE’s clients and the design team, the constraints of the project, and the capabilities of TEAGUE’s vendor base. This role involves a variety of skill sets. First, you must have basic procurement knowledge and be able to maintain appropriate raw stock inventory, maintain PO records and supporting documentation, and process and reconciled POs and invoices. Second, you possess a rock-solid understanding of technical design documents and a working knowledge of many technologies and processes, including printed parts (SLS, SLA, FDM, other), machined parts, weldments, tooling, composites, fiberglass, textiles, and processes like powder coating and paint. Third, you have the ability to communicate clearly and resolve misunderstandings and conflicts between vendors, designers, and the project team. In addition to sourcing, you’ll lead process improvements and structured problem-solving efforts to continuously and collaboratively improve the Procurement function. As the primary manager of vendor relationships, you’ll represent TEAGUE’s values to vendors through clear and professional communication and ensure that the company is receiving competitive pricing, quality, and serviceThis role also supports the project teams with diligent estimating and project planning and maintains vendor information in TEAGUE’s ERP system. If you’re an independent worker with procurement expertise who thrives on solving creative challenges and providing the highest level of customer service at all levels within the company and beyondlet’s talk

  • Experience: 5-7 years experience in a Lead Procurement role, 4 year degree preferred; experience working in an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system preferred, especially NetSuite.  
  • Special skills: Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office: Excel (intermediate or higher), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; highly effective organizational skills, time management, and detail orientation with the ability to support several projects concurrently while maintaining excellent follow-through; excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees  
  • Physical Requirements: Frequent interaction with clients and co-workers may require regular attendance in the workplace at the discretion of the supervisor; normal, corrective vision range; ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols; frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend and reach; occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; must be able to work flexible and/or extended hours; able to travel to other TEAGUE facilities and vendors in the greater Seattle area and beyond. Travel may include driving locally or flying out of state for more than one day.

TEAGUE is currently working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are a Washington State based company. All employees must reside in the state of Washington and be able to access one of our studio locations in the greater Seattle area when we return to work in our hybrid/remote work approach.
