Why We Need This Position

In order for us to remain at the forefront of our ever-evolving industry, we need a crack business development team to get way out ahead of things: identifying opportunities, tracking industry trends, forging connections, understanding what clients want and need, and effectively showcasing TEAGUE’s value proposition in response. That’s where you come in. 

 

Who We’re Looking For

First and foremost, you are a systems thinker capable of identifying and understanding relevant industry trends through research. This includes reading industry research reports, attending internal/external conferences, SME/mentor feedback, leveraging internal resources, talking with partners directly, and gathering third party resources. Second, you will use your understanding of lead and demand generation to identify suitable target clients and partners, learn their pain points, and identify the ways in which TEAGUE might support them. You will then engage those prospective clients and partners by creating compelling communications that presents TEAGUE’s value proposition and the appropriate offer. You will also assist with execution and deal management by communicating and reporting with senior stakeholders, track blocking issues, and help to drive resolutions. Finally, you will be responsible for developing post-deal governance and execution plans and developing KPIs to demonstrate achieved business value. What We Just Said, Now in Six Bullet Points (a.k.a., Essential Qualifications):

  • Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred; 3+ years’ experience in consulting, business development, sales, finance, marketing, corporate strategy, sales, and/or related field preferred or equivalent work experience; analytical problem solver able to generate relevant metrics, discover issues and recommend solutions balancing the needs of TEAGUE and our clients; proven experience building and maintaining relationships with people at all levels of an organization; up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging trends and practices
  • Skills: Technical knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, HubSpot, etc.); effective organizational skills, time management, and detail orientation with the ability to support several projects concurrently, while maintaining excellent follow-through; advanced communication (written and verbal), listening and negotiation skills
  • Travel Requirements: Frequent interaction with clients and co-workers requires regular attendance in the workplace; must be able to work flexible and/or extended hours and occasionally required to travel to other TEAGUE facilities in the greater Seattle area, as well as travel up to 25% of the time, domestically and internationally
  • Passion: Finding solutions and building strong, mutually beneficial business relationships
  • Role: Identifying prospective clients and building bridges
  • Personality: Strategic, diplomatic, solution-oriented, passionate about design
