The ideal candidate is a thought leader who provides seasoned strategic guidance and can seamlessly switch over to tactical implementation.  This role demands strong business acumen, the ability to have influence and impact at all levels of the organization, and the ability to design and implement a strong HR framework that supports the company’s business strategy and strategic outcomes.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will use their deep experience and understanding of HR and organizational structure to create, build, maintain, and improve the experience of working at TEAGUE through collaboration, problem-solving, analysis, mentoring, and good judgment. This is a multi-faceted position that demands initiative, diplomacy, and superlative communication skills. First, you’ll apply a thorough understanding of the business and related operations to inform, develop and align people strategies, and HR frameworks that support positive business outcomes. Second, you’ll be responsible for guiding and facilitating the execution of firm-wide and studio-based initiatives such as performance management, succession planning, talent review and development, salary review, resource planning, departures and terminations, business planning, and goal-setting. Third, you’re a seasoned mentor and colleague who models a positive, solution-oriented approach to issues. You can provide daily coaching and guidance to foster effective working relationships, promote and sustain positive morale and productivity, attract and retain top talent, and support TEAGUE as a great place to work. Fourth, you serve as a liaison at multiple levels: with other HR center leaders to deliver studio-specific people solutions; by providing status updates to the CFO; by partnering with others to advise on and execute organization design and structure, processes, and effectiveness; and collaborating with other senior leadership on Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. Fifth, you’re nimble with numbers and have an aptitude for analysis, creating, communicating and managing targeted metrics and drivers and translating them effectively to practical application. Finally, you are able to communicate effectively at all levels, adept at tailoring your tone, voice, and content to the subject matter and audience. And last but not least, you are current with trends, employment law, D&I, best practices, and compliance requirements.   • Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s Degree or MBA in HR or related field preferred; total of 10 years of HR experience with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a business partner role demonstrating progressive growth in scope and responsibility, with knowledge in key functional areas (employee relations; compensation, benefits, compliance, diversity and inclusion initiatives, training and development.); experience in a creative environment preferred; track record of successfully managing projects within scope and budget; demonstrated success building and leading ad hoc teams to accomplish complex goals; experience providing long-term planning as well as day-to-day operations; successful coaching experience with measurable outcomes; up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging trends and best practices in HR; specialized experience with the requirements of effective change management, culture building and engagement
  • Special skills: adept at facilitating dialogue to discover hidden issues and finding resolution; excellent communication, time/task management and follow-through; a high level of interpersonal skills; demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, decision making, and conflict resolution skills; advanced Microsoft Office skills and advanced user of technology in general
