Overview

The Senior Electronics Technician supports activities such as test, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical mockup/prototypes. Working from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans, you will perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. This role also performs operational testing and fault isolation on software, hardware, electro mechanical systems and equipment.

Why We Need This Position

TEAGUE may be known for its big ideas, but getting those ideas off the page and transforming them into real functioning prototypes requires loads of technical know-how and deep electrical expertise. That’s where you come in.

Who We’re Looking For

Everyone always turns to you when something stops working because you’re a natural when it comes to fixing things. In this role, you won’t just be fixing your neighbor’s lawn mower or rewiring their bathroom lighting—no, you’ll be tasked with supporting a team that’s shaping the future of flight. Your primary role is to lead the assembly and installation of mockup electrical/lighting systems. This involves testing components, leading or assisting in the assembly of prototypes, measuring performance of those prototypes and providing analysis with minimal guidance. In addition, it’s your job to prepare project cost and work-time estimates and offer recommendations on the purchasing of equipment and supplies. On any given day, you will also be collaborating with technical designers and working with contractors and vendors to identify—and, most importantly, solve—electrical problems; and working closely with engineers and designers to generate test procedures. And if that weren’t enough, you’ll also be assisting in lighting mockup updates, visiting mockup sites to come up with solutions to technical design problems and building electronic and mechanical fixtures necessary for testing products. Finally, you’re also responsible for procuring, calibrating, and maintaining equipment, as well as managing lab supplies and tools. If you’re eager to learn, an intuitive problem solver who thrives on technical challenges, and work well both on your own and as part of a team—and you love planes, too!—we’d like to talk about adding you to our tool belt.
